Chester County - Share Your Opioid Story

The Share your Opioid Story initiative is hosting a community conversation to share the stories behind the statistics of the opioid crisis. In doing so, we hope to reduce the stigma and prevent barriers for people suffering from Substance Use Disorder by raising awareness of the many ways this issue affects individuals, families, and communities. During this workshop event, local partners will discuss solutions to combat stigma in the community. We invite you to join us to share your opioid story or simply to learn more about how we can all work together to address the issue facing our communities.

Delaware artist invites you to his ‘Vibe Realm’

By day, Michael Kalmbach is the founder and director of the Creative Vision Factory, on Shipley Street in Wilmington. When he isn’t working to help others through art, Kalmbach makes time for his own art.  The Creative Vision Factory is a Program of Mental Health Partnerships.

So lets talk about the paintings which are on view now through April 27th at the Chris White Galleries in Wilmington. The entire body of work in this exhibit is abstract. Color, texture and forms were the primary focus for Kalmbach going in, but it starts with color. “I usually start each picture with something I want to explore with a color, see how much I can stretch a color.”
