Tony Valdés has been the Chief Executive Officer of Children’s Crisis Treatment Center (CCTC) in Philadelphia since 1997, an organization that prides itself on its trauma-informed approach to caring for our most vulnerable children and families.  

Under his leadership, CCTC has expanded sevenfold in number of employees, annual budget, and programming and positioned itself at the forefront of children's behavioral health. More recently, CCTC has relocated its headquarters to a new state-of the-art facility on North Delaware Avenue, expanded its reach to Montgomery County, and opened an acute partial hospitalization program in North Philadelphia.

During the past 22 years as a Pennsylvania state legislator, Representative DiGirolamo has been a vocal advocate for additional drug and alcohol rehabilitation, enhanced human services and services for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities and mental health conditions. He has authored legislation increasing funding for drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers and establishing a separate state cabinet agency, the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, to streamline drug and alcohol treatment services in Pennsylvania. In addition, he authored Act 148 of 2012 to create methadone death and incident review teams in cases where methadone was either a primary or secondary cause of death.
